The Randolph is owned and run by Gareth and Jenny Knights who have over 38 years combined experience in the hospitality industry between them.
Gareth was former Head Chef at The Sibton White Horse where he took the restaurant from 1-rosette to 2-rosette. Prior to this role Gareth headed the kitchen at The Swan (Southwold) and before that, was sous-chef at The Crown (Southwold).
Jenny has a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Hospitality, Tourism & Leisure Management and developed her career whilst working for Adnams where she ran the Swan & Crown Hotel as Assistant Manager and Hotel Manager for over 6 years.
Gareth and Jenny have three children, Daisy (18), Molly (15) and Ralph (11) who all attend local schools. Molly is the newest family recruit and you might catch her up in housekeeping at the weekends earning some pocket money!
They are supported by a team that have worked alongside them for many years both at The Randolph but also in their former employments with Adnams. Almost all of the staff live locally in Reydon, Southwold and Wrentham and are all part of the local community.
So it really is one big family!
